Dr. Minnick was my general surgeon and he was incredible

In June of 2022, I underwent major surgery at a national specialty hospital. Unfortunately, I developed complications from that surgery after returning home to Kalamazoo. I was hospitalized at Bronson for 11 days and had to have another surgery to fix the complications. I can’t say enough good things about my experience at Bronson. Dr. Minnick was my general surgeon and he was incredible. Not only was he a great surgeon but he also had excellent bedside manner. He answered my questions, explained the procedure well, checked in on me daily and followed up with my care. While I was in the hospital, I received excellent care from the nurses and can distinctly remember my nurses Sue and Janice who took a personal interest in me and made sure that my needs were met. Finally, I had a great experience at my post-op appointment with PA Michael Bush. It was clear that he was very well versed in my case, knew all the details and was very attentive, helpful and thorough. Although nobody wants to experience 11 days in the hospital, I am beyond grateful that I had the team I did at Bronson. Their approach to my care was about much more than clinical medicine; it was about fostering a relationship and my personal well-being. Thank you to all involved.
