Dr. Burkhardt is Amazing!

Bob Lemieux, Patient

I knew my knees were getting bad and I started limiting some of the things I wanted to do. This past October, I had a total knee joint replacement surgery on my left knee. Dr. Joe Burkhardt, of Bronson Orthopedic Specialists, is trained in robotic-assisted surgery and said I was a good candidate for this type of surgery. Surgery was performed at Bronson Battle Creek. It went well and right afterwards I felt like I had a slight toothache. At the end of the first week, the pain in my quad was gone. I began to use the stairs after two weeks, but was walking with no walker or cane by the end of two weeks! At rehab, I was able to bend my knee with no pain and I was walking without crutches or the use of a walker. Plus, I only took Tylenol for the pain.

I can’t say enough about the care I received from Dr. Burkhardt, the nurses and the physical therapy staff. The operating staff made me feel comfortable and the physical therapy staff was fantastic! Of course, Dr. Burkhardt is amazing!

Since this surgery went so well, I’m going in on Monday to have a total knee replacement performed on my right knee. Of course I would only have Dr. Burkhardt perform robotic-assisted surgery at Bronson Battle Creek and experience the great staff of nurses and rehab therapists.

What Dr. Burhardt did for me is truly amazing!

This video was taken when Bob went back for his two week follow-up appointment after surgery. Some of you may recognize Bob as he was the very first coach for the K-Wings.
