Congratulations to Jennifer Ryan RN and Joe Dorko for being diligent and committed problem solvers

Jim McKernan, Bronson Employee

Today we recognize Registered Nurse Jennifer Ryan from the Bronson Battle Creek Birthplace and Joe Dorko from our Bio Medical team for being accountable, being problem solvers, and for demonstrating commitment to the safety of our patients.

On a recent weekend, the infant security band system in our Birthplace malfunctioned.  RN Jennifer Ryan discovered the issue and began making calls for assistance.  Through several hours she remained on the task – with no success in finding an internal or external resource who could fix the problem.  One of those calls was to our BioMed department – and the call for help reached Joe Dorko who happened to be on PTO.  Despite being unfamiliar with the system and being on PTO, Joe came to the hospital to see if he could assist.  Joe’s dedication and talent brought quick resolution and returned the security system to operation.

Congratulations to Jennifer Ryan RN and Joe Dorko for being diligent and committed problem solvers, for being accountable, and for going above-and-beyond to assure a safe experience for our new arrivals.  And thanks to staff across Bronson who go the extra mile to assure exceptional care experiences for all of our patients and families.
