Carl is a true professional. He saved my life!
I just completed several months of physical therapy from Carl Fried, which was an excellent experience and wanted to share a few comments. I am 71 years old, in great health and have never had physical therapy until injuring my right leg pulling in a boat dock line. I made an appointment with Dr. Quinter Burnett who I have known since 1985. (At that time he would treat sports medicine patients at Sindecuse Health Center on Western’s campus.) His suggestion was to begin with physical therapy. My wife had previous experience working with Carl, which is how my amazing recovery began. My pain was so significant that walking was extremely difficult and I really thought that, ultimately, surgery would be necessary. However, Carl always had a positive attitude to compliment his amazing skills, and was dedicated to our mutual goal of getting me back to living a “regular” life for which I am SO THANKFUL!!
I was very blessed to have had a very rewarding 40 year career at WMU. I retired several years ago, with the last 20 years as Director of the Physical Plant, which has 500+ employees. My entire work life was finding creative solutions to challenging issues through motivating employees to do their BEST! I feel Carl demonstrates these same traits and even more with his employees and patients. I also know, from years of experience, it is easy for customers/patients to complain but it takes an effort to send written compliments. I could continue on with compliments but hope my comments are meaningful and appreciated.
