Bronson’s homeownership program has allowed me to really become a part of the Kalamazoo community
Last year, I took advantage of the Bronson Homeownership Program (BHOP). BHOP makes it easier for Bronson employees to buy homes in downtown Kalamazoo. In short, the program provides an interest free loan to Bronson employees who purchase or fix up a home in specific neighborhoods close to Bronson Methodist Hospital. Then, we don’t have to start making payments on the loan for five years.
As the sustainability coordinator at Bronson, I know this is important because it is just one way to help advance the health and vitality of our community. It encourages employees to live downtown, restore older homes, support local businesses and cut down on daily traffic and air pollution. From a personal perspective, BHOP was instrumental in making it financially possible to purchase my first home.
Programs like BHOP are just one of the many reasons I am proud to work for Bronson!
