Bronson is a major part of our family and we can’t wait to continue on our tradition
Our Bronson story begins in 1968, my Grandmother Barbara Page started working at Bronson hospital in food services. In the early 1990’s, my aunt Dorinda Diaz and my dad Micheal Page started at Bronson hospital. My aunt worked in Housekeeping and my dad worked in patient transport. On the other side of the hospital, my mom Phyllis Page began working in Switchboard. As Bronson fate would have it, my mom and dad crossed paths and became friends eventually dating and getting married by a Bronson clergyman. Over the years they had two daughters. Eventually they moved to different roles within the hospital to where they are now, Phyllis is the Quality Assurance Coordinator for Patient Access and Michael is Materials Management Coordinator for Surgery. They built their family around Bronson and instilled a love for healthcare in me at a very young age. I was thrilled to walk through the tunnel and see my grandparents name on the tiles. It was such a proud moment to see our Bronson legacy! I was part of the first Bronson LATCH program with my cousins back in the early 2000’s and went on to become the youngest Volunteen at Bronson at the age of 12. I left Kalamazoo to go to college for my bachelor’s in Biomedical Sciences and met my now husband, Brian while I was at Central Michigan University. When we completed our degrees, we moved to Kalamazoo to work for Bronson and continue our educations. Brian currently is in Patient Registration while completing his degree at Davenport University in Cyber Defense for Health Information Assurance. I am a Phlebotomist and working on my Master’s Degree in Reproductive Clinical Sciences from Eastern Virginia Medical School. My grandma retired from Bronson as a Materials Technician in linen in 2006. My mom, dad and aunt still work for Bronson and love what they do. We are so happy to have such a cool background in a place that is passionate about their employees and patients. We are excited to announce we have our 4th generation of Bronson family on the way. Baby Tice will be born in late November 2017 at the Bronson Birth Place. Bronson is a major part of our family and we can’t wait to continue on our tradition. We love our #BronsonPositivity Family.
