Bronson Internal Medicine – John St. has improved on all of their survey questions for two years in a row

More than 400 areas across the Bronson system use Press Ganey to survey patients about their experience with us. This includes inpatient stays, emergency department visits, interactions at medical practices, home health, outpatient testing and other departments such as rehab, endoscopy, oncology, urgent care and FastCare®. We report and track results monthly.

For the reporting year of October through September, we received over 127,000 surveys with feedback to help us learn what we are doing well for every patient, every time and what we can improve. This is great data to work with and it helps us prioritize our service strategy.

Here are some highlights of this year’s data:

  • Bronson Internal Medicine – John St. has improved on all of their survey questions for two years in a row. This is a significant accomplishment! They are also a top performer within our system and across the nation. The nearly 4,500 responses for this practice rank them in the 99th percentile overall. When asked how they have achieved this, staff consistently point to the culture of their team, including the leadership and providers. Many of them have worked together for years and have built relationships with each other and with patients.
  • 14 departments scored better than 90% of other healthcare systems for the important question of “How likely they are to recommend.” This global question is a good measurement of patient loyalty.
  • 15 departments across the system improved on every questions asked on the survey when compared to their 2018 results.
  • More than half of the departments met at least one of their Press Ganey service goals in 2019.
