Barb took it upon herself to follow up

Today we recognize Barbara O’Neil, medical social worker at Bronson Internal Medicine Fremont, for being accountable and building trusting partnerships.

Recently, Barbara and a provider were scheduled to meet with a struggling patient. When the patient failed to show up for the appointment, Barb took it upon herself to follow up. A phone call was not answered, family calls were unsuccessful, so Barb contacted police for a welfare check. The patient was found unresponsive on the floor – but recovered with emergency medical care that arrived thanks to Barb’s follow-up.

Congratulations to Barb O’Neil for going above-and-beyond for our patients. And thanks to all across Bronson whose extra efforts truly lead to exceptional care experiences!
