2020 Challenge Coin

Since 2015, Bronson has celebrated Veterans Day by recognizing our employees who have served in the armed forces to thank them for their service to our country. Bronson Veterans are presented with a challenge coin. Members of the armed forces have a long history of carrying challenge coins to symbolize the camaraderie of being part of a select group. It has been said that only those who have served and received a coin for an accomplishment can truly appreciate its meaning. The theme of this year’s coin is the Year of the Healthcare Warrior.

About the 2020 Challenge Coin

Retired Sgt. Efrain H. Robles designed this year’s coin. “This year was marked with fear of the unknown,” said Sgt. Robles. “The enemy this year, however, was faceless and without form. It was met by professionals with bravery and compassion for others at the expense of self. This was truly the Year of the Healthcare Warrior.”

The gold text and border of the coin represents the invaluable contribution of veterans since the inception of our nation. Our nation’s colors are represented on the face of the coin. The caduceus symbol is the focal point for those in the healthcare field that sacrificed so much this year. The black border represents the somber state of the human condition and acknowledgement of the loss of life this year. The three gold stars on the field of blue represent the inevitable victory over the enemy.

To our veterans and active duty military personnel, we thank you for your service!
