I now know when I need care, I’ll come back hoping to see Dinah again!

Natalie Dean, Patient

“This last visit was my 3rd visit to Bronson in the last 3 months. I had a hysterectomy, then a rupture, then a ruptured cyst. Being sick for so long has been hard for me, as I am a single working mom. Being apart from my kids while being sick is the worst part, plus I’m alone and worrying most of the time while I’m here. This last illness was very hard and very painful and from the minute Dinah walked into my room, I felt better. She has a beautiful smile, a musical voice, and she is so nurturing! I had a friend visit at the time who was reading to me and she even made him feel very special. She explained my medications to us in a way I could understand and tried to fit them in at a time that was respectful of my habits.

Later on in the night, she asked about my kids, sensed my sadness and stayed for a long time sharing_ stories with each other about our children. For someone alone in a hospital, this was the best thing that could have happened! Dinah listens and cares about every aspect of her patients and that is a real gift.

She also picked up on some medical needs I was having and helped address them. I couldn’t think of another person with whom I felt so respected, so nurtured and like an instant best friend. I just love her!! If Bronson had a full staff of Dinah’s with all the calming a nurturing aspects she has, no one would ever go anywhere else. What a pleasant way to end my unfortunate stay here… I now know when I need care, I’ll come back hoping to see Dinah again!”
