It’s a unique project, and aligns perfectly with our core values at Bronson
In January, we will be opening a micro-grocery store – Bronson Market – on the south campus of Bronson Methodist Hospital. Employees, patients and visitors at the hospital will be able to purchase a variety of healthy foods like fruit, vegetables, meats, cheeses, breads and more. The foods sold will focus around local and seasonal items.
The idea to open Bronson Market has been in the works for a while. As one of the top employers in the region, we want to make sure we are helping promote a work-life balance for our employees, and also offering healthy food options for employees, patients and visitors. The market does this. Plus, it helps build a more sustainable and healthy community, since much of the food sold will come from our local producers like Crisp Country Acres, Carlson’s Farm, Joe’s Farm, Sarkozy Bakery (just to name a few)!
It has made me proud to work with a multidisciplinary group of employees to make this project come to life. Bronson Market is a unique project for a healthcare system, and aligns perfectly with our values of building trusting relationships and promoting a healthy workplace, and our mission – to advance the health of our communities.
